Recommend approval to award an annual contract for arboricultural consultancy and reporting services to Davey Resource Group (295 S. Water Street, Suite 300 Kent, OH)^(D) in an amount upto $90,000. 

The contract will provide professional arboricultural consultancy and reporting services on an as-needed basis for trees located on both public and private properties within the City. Services shall include tree inspections, tree risk assessments, tree and landscape appraisals (valuations), qualified arborist reports, expert witness services and tree inventories. The City’s Greenscapes Department has contracted these services in the past and will be the primary user of this contract. Other city departments and divisions may require the contractor’s services on a case by case basis. Without an annual contract, the City would not be able to inspect and update the City's public tree inventory.

The method used for this procurement was the request for the proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The proposals were evaluated on the basis of proposer’s qualifications and experience, including support capabilities, references, fees and Savannah first.

 Two proposals were received in response to this RFP. All proposals were reviewed and fully evaluated by a selection committee of City staff. The contract expires on September 22, 2022 and has four (4) renewal options available.
