The City acquired a single-family residential property located at 625 Seiler Avenue in June 2016 due to foreclosure. The three-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath property has been declared surplus and available for sale by City Council.

RFP Event #5238 was issued soliciting sealed bids and proposals from interested buyers. Three responses were received and all were scored by a committee. The highest scoring response was from Mr. Samuel Givens in the amount of $50,000.00. The City's current outstanding investment in the property is $49,670. The Chatham County Board of Assessors has appraised the value of the property at $40,700.00

Mr. Givens is planning to renovate the property after acquisition.
