Description

Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute a Contract with Ranco Disaster Services for total personnel base camp all-inclusive occupied pricing. The services will be used in the event of a catastrophic disaster within the City of Savannah. This agreement will provide infrastructure, workspace, kitchen facilities, meal service, mobile showers, mobile laundry facilities, chemical toilets, and restroom trailers for our workforce and mutual aid. The all-inclusive price for this agreement includes:

  • A fixed cost of $230,400 for mobilization labor
  • A variable cost of $497,000 for 500 people for one week of operations (7 days)
  • A fixed cost of $230,400 for demobilization labor

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The criteria used for this RFP were proposer’s qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, references, fees, and DBE participation. An open DBE goal was established for this event.

The contract term shall be from October 10, 2019 through December 31, 2020.
