| Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Modification No. 1 with MB Kahn Construction Company, Inc. for services at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center in the amount of $293,017.47. The original contract was for the construction of a new 39,500-square-foot arts facility, located at 201 Montgomery Street. This contract modification is needed to cover various construction cost increases and reductions outside of the guaranteed maximum price due to unforeseen construction conditions, design upgrades, and owner-requested scope changes. Attached is a list of all changes. This contract was originally approved by Council on September 18, 2014 in the amount of $17,263,056. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $17,556,073.41. This represents a 1.69% increase above the original contracted price, which was allocated as owners' contingency in the overall project budget. | |
