Recommend approval of contract modification No. 2 for Low-Voltage Cabling Services with NetPlanner in the amount of $225,000. Services will be used to provide cabling and network services at various City of Savannah facilities by the Information Technology Department. The contract will also provide security access control equipment and services, security camera procurement and installation.

This contract was approved by City Council for an annual amount up to $800,000 on January 14, 2021.  Since the initial approval in January, additional projects and changes to existing projects have resulted in a need to request an increase. These factors were unforeseen prior to the initial contract request approved by Council as well as the 2022 renewal signed by the City Manager in October 2021.

Currently, the approved $800,000 spending accounts for various Capital Improvement Projects which includes major upgrades to all parking garages.  Additional project needs are contributed to moving and relocation of various departments, the Interchange Court project, Sanitation’s Headquarters project, the WorkSource Coastal AV project, and multiple facility repairs/improvements of cable/fiber at various City buildings.

This contract was originally approved by Council on February 13, 2020. Contract Modification No. 1 was approved on May 28, 2020 in the amount $80,270.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification is $1,055,270.
