Recommend approval to procure network equipment and installation from Layer 3 Communications in the amount of $41,078.34. This equipment will be installed to support operations at the new City facility located at 1375 Chatham Parkway.

This is a sole source procurement because the City has an annual contract with Layer 3 Communications for network managed services and maintenance on network equipment. This contract also includes the discounted purchase, installation, and maintenance of network equipment. Purchasing additional equipment from Layer 3 Communications ensures that the City’s network equipment will be managed by the company currently contracted to service and maintain it.
