Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for Conservation of City Cemeteries from Landmark Preservation, LLC in the amount of $300,000. This contract will be used to provide varying conservation treatments to the historic and cultural resources located throughout the municipal cemeteries and the Historic District. The City Cemeteries Division will manage the projects within the municipal cemeteries while the Greenscapes Division will manage the projects within the Historic District.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP) which evaluates criteria in addition to cost.  The criteria evaluated for the RFP were qualifications and experience, MWBE participation, and fees.

The MWBE goal for this project was 27% (9% MBE and 18% WBE). The recommended primary contractor did not submit MWBE participation for this contract. The recommended secondary contractor submitted participation in the amount of 100%, with 9% MBE using Economy Masonry (Savannah, GA) ^(A) and 91% WBE participation using Savannah Construction and Preservation (Savannah, GA) ^(E).

This contract was originally executed on October 17th, 2017 by the City Cemeteries Division, but was amended on July 5th, 2018 to include the Greenscapes Division and to expand services to the Historic District. This is the second of four renewal options.

The contract term shall be from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
