Description

Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 2 and renewal for Microsoft Enterprise with Insight Public Sector, Inc.(D) in the amount of $196,000.

Azure is the cloud computing services component of the current Microsoft EA agreement being utilized by the City of Savannah.  The Azure environment provides scalable infrastructure for the City’s cloud-based services such as MySavannah and virtual computing resources from our public-facing devices.  Utilizing this cloud-based environment provides increased security, expands accessibility to daily operational resources, and delivers a platform for disaster recovery.

As the City continues to expand the usage of this service, an amendment to the current contract with Insight Public Sector, Inc. along with an agreement for Azure utilization is needed. The current Insight agreement was procured under Omnia Partners Contract (Contract No. 4400006644, Technology Products, Services, Solutions, and Related Products and Service). This contract was effective from May 1, 2016, through April 30, 2019, with an option to renew for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods.

The requested amount of $196,000.00 includes FY21 at the cost of $46,000 and FY22 at the cost of $150,000.

This contract was originally approved for renewal by Council on May 28, 2020, in the amount of $635,034. Contract Modification No. 1 was approved by Council on July 23, 2020, in the amount of $140,833. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $971,867.
