November 20, 2018, City Council Regular Meeting
Title
12. Motion to Amend the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance to Provide for the Sale of On-Premises Alcoholic Beverages Beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday
Strategic Priority
Economic Strength And Poverty Reduction
Description

Voters during the November 6, 2018, General Election approved a referendum calling for amendments to Savannah's Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance to allow the sale of on-premises alcoholic beverages to begin at 11 a.m. on Sundays, as opposed to the current 12:30 p.m.

This option became available following State legislative action earlier this year. City Council is now required to make amendments to Savannah's Code of Ordinances to authorize the change. The amended ordinance would go into effect immediately upon approval. No action is required to be taken by holders of Sunday sales on-premises alcoholic beverage licenses.
