| Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute an annual contract with Savannah Brush & Chemical, Inc. for swimming pool chemicals in the estimated amount of $53,558.50. The swimming pool chemicals (chlorine hypochlorite) will be utilized by the Parks and Recreation Department to clean and maintain City operated swimming pools. Calcium hypochlorite is a white solid that is added in granular or tablet form to pool water to kill bacteria and germs. The chemicals are also used by the President Street Plant to treat the water system. It is used to disinfectant drinking water, prolonging and improving life for Savannah residence and businesses. The calcium hypochlorite drums are maintained in inventory at the Central Warehouse. The contract term shall be November 18, 2019 through December 31, 2020. | |
