Description

BB&T Bank's Savannah Market President, Mr. Bill Lynch is presenting a check for $15,000 to the Mayor and Aldermen for deposit into the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF).  He will be accompanied by the SAHF Advisory Committee and Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (CHSA) members.  This is BB&T Bank's fourth contribution to the SAHF since 2015.  The SAHF is a local fund that helps leverage private investment to address local workforce and affordable housing needs and opportunities.  A motion to formally accept this donation appears on the consent agenda.

Over the last eight years, the locally controlled public and private investments into the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund have helped to leverage additional resources into our community. This Public/Private Partnership serves as an exemplary model for other financial institutions in Savannah. Since 2012, the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund has provided $16.4 million of assistance to local families seeking better housing including fulfilling the American dream of owning and maintaining a home. A motion to formally accept this donation appears on the consent agenda.
