| Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract with ChemTrade Chemicals US, LLC for liquid aluminum sulfate, in the estimated amount of $515,000.00. Aluminum sulfate is used in the water treatment process to assist in the removal of solids from incoming raw water. Due to rising freight costs for raw materials, the vendor requested a $30.00 per dry ton increase, and staff in the Public Works and Water Resources Department agreed to the terms. Bids were originally received on June 28, 2016. This renewal represents a cumulative 61% increase since the item was originally approved by Council on July 21, 2016, in the amount of $319,200.00. This is the second of three renewal options available. The contract term shall be from May 9, 2019 through December 31, 2019. | |
