The City has been working with the Pine Gardens Neighborhood Association to install a “Welcome to Pine Gardens” sign at the southeast corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Capital Street. The intended site of this sign lies within the parcel boundaries of the Savannah High School property (PIN 2-0036 -12-001), owned by the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education.

An agreement has been drafted granting the City a license to install, maintain, repair, and utilize the designated sign area. This agreement does not grant ownership, but solely allows temporary usage, and the City will construct and maintain the sign at its expense. The term of this agreement is 10 years, and the Board of Education may terminate the agreement at any time by giving the City 90 days written notice.
