Motion to Renew Annual Contract with Vallen for Barricades, Lights, and Safety Equipment (Event No. 4076)

Recommend approval to renew annual contract for barricades, lights, and safety equipment to Vallen (formerly Hagemeyer) in the amount of $41,952.50.

The contract provides barricades and flashing lights to be installed on all City utility and transportation projects requiring traffic control when traffic lanes, sidewalks, or streets are closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This contract is critical to ensuring public safety by securing construction zones where traffic lanes, sidewalks, etc., are closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

The contract term will be from May 11, 2017 through May 10, 2018.
