Recommend approval of a resolution to accept a $50,000 donation raised by the Chatham County Housing Coalition (CCHC) for deposit into the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF). These funds will be used to help purchase materials that will be installed by volunteer groups repairing the homes of at least 50 low-income homeowners participating in the City of Savannah’s volunteer home repair program this summer. The CCHC recognized and responded to an immediate need for funds to help support and continue this valuable City of Savannah housing initiative. The funds are being provided through Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (CHSA). None of the investments made into the SAHF by the CCHC or CHSA and other investors are used for administrative costs. The City of Savannah Housing and Neighborhood Services Department and the Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (CHSA), a non-profit housing corporation, oversee and administer the SAHF.
