Description

Notification of an emergency procurement of repair services for an Al-Jon Compactor to Tractor Equipment Company in the amount of $50,995.87.

The Refuse Disposal Division’s compactor was in need of urgent repair. This was an emergency because the compactor is a critical piece of equipment to daily landfill function that maximizes waste compaction densities, conserves permitted facility disposal capacity, and extends useful site life. Only Al-Jon authorized repair vendors are allowed to perform repairs on this equipment. Tractor Equipment Company was selected to make the repairs because it was the nearest authorized Al-Jon compactor repair shop that could perform the repairs timely.
