Description

Recommend approval to procure four zero turn mowers from Gridiron, LLC in the amount of $34,883.00.  The Fleet Services Department is requesting these mowers for the Operations and Maintenance Division of the Public Works and Water Resources Department.  The lawnmowers will aide in the beautification of the City’s wastewater plants.  This action helps to align the goal of maintaining City facilities to meet established standards.  With plant tours being conducted daily, presenting the facility in its most positive light ties directly into the greater picture of providing exceptional public service to residents, businesses, and guests so they may experience a safe, healthy, and thriving community.

The bid was advertised, opened, and reviewed.  While Get Mowed, LLC was the apparent low bidder, the mower that was proposed was not of commercial grade and would not meet specifications. 

No DBE goal was established for this event due to the absence of subcontracting opportunity.
