| Description Southern Telecom, Inc. (Petitioner) has requested an easement over/across a portion of City-owned property located along Highway 21 (PIN 2-0981 -01-002) between Bonny Bridge Road and the Sonny Dixon Exchange. The parent tract totals 134.3 acres and is a wetland out-fall to the I & D Plant. The requested 5.2 acre easement is for the purposes of running telecommunication lines and equipment. An appraisal was performed that reports Fair Market Value at $522.00, as this parcel is mainly wetland. Southern Telecom, Inc. has agreed to pay this cost in exchange for the easement. The easement document has been reviewed by the Assistant City Attorney’s office, Public Works, and by Real Estate Services. | |
