For the past seven years the City of Savannah has contracted with Chatham Area Transit to provide remote shuttle service for those attending the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival. This service offers a safe form of transportation, and eases traffic congestion and parking demand.

The March 17, 2018, Daytime Parade Shuttle will operate from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m with service to and from the following locations:

• From the Westside Shopping Center on U.S. 80 in Garden City to the Intermodal Transit Center on Oglethorpe Avenue
• From the Island Towne Centre on U.S. 80 on Whitemarsh Island to the intersection of Price and Oglethorpe Avenue
• From the Savannah Mall to the Intermodal Transit Center

Passengers will pay a fare to ride this daytime Parade Shuttle.

In addition, CAT will offer fare-free fixed-route service all day from 5 a.m. Friday, March 16 to 3 a.m. Sunday, March 18. 

The City will pay CAT a flat fee of $15,000.00 to cover operational expenses for the daytime shuttle service and fare-free fixed route service.
