| Description This contract is to procure a Switch Gear Upgrade from Nixon Power Services in the amount of $157,500. The Water Reclamation Department will use this switch gear controller to transfer power from utility to generator power in the event of a power loss, as well as transfer power from generator power to utility power once power is restored. The current parts and support have become obsolete which requires the upgraded controller. Failure to procure the purchase of the upgrade can result in non-compliance to the NPDES permit, in addition to an increased risk of an unsolicited discharge of raw wastewater during a loss of power.
This is a sole source because this vendor is the only proprietary supplier of these parts. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days.
