Recommend approval to procure two forklifts from Atlanta Forklift Sales and Service in the amount of $75,900.00. The forklifts will replace units that have reached the end of their useful life cycles and are no longer cost effective to maintain or repair.  The units to be replaced are 2005 models and were on the 2016 Replacement List. These units are used by Central Warehouse and President Street Plant. Central Warehouse uses its forklift daily to load and unload inventoried merchandise utilized by the various departments of the City.  President Street Plant utilizes a forklift to move heavy items located on site, transport large chemical totes to treatment area, and unload maintenance equipment off of delivery vehicles.  Replacement of these forklifts will provide each department with safe and reliable equipment to carry out daily operations.
