Recommend approval of Contract Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $245,000.00 for consulting services on the redevelopment and expansion of parking in and around the Canal District.  

The original contract was for design services for the new arena. This amendment is needed to incorporate redevelopment and expansion of parking in and around the Canal District.  The redevelpment plan will establish a district that complements the surrounding neighborhoods while also providing additional opportunities for citizens to provide input.  The redevelopment plan is needed to present recommendation related to the existing context, vision, goals, objectives, and future land uses.  Key features will include a stakeholder involvement process and preservation of neighborhoods around to the arena site.

The original contract was approved by Council on June 21, 2018 in the amount of $8,820,000.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment is $9,190,000.
