Description

Recommend approval to procure the painting of a bicycle lane for Price Street from Angco, Inc in the amount of $268,288.50.  This will be used by the Mobility and Parking Services Department to repaint the bicycle lane along Price Street from Bay Street to Victory Drive. Four bids were originally received by the City of Savannah; however, three of the bids received were deemed non-responsive due to documents not being submitted in two separate envelopes as stated in the bid specifications.

Per Section 2-4154 in the Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services by accessing a bid or contract awarded by any federal, state, county or municipal government.  The original contract, Event No. 6344 - Painting of Bicycle Lane for Lincoln Street, was approved by Council on November 5, 2018 in the amount of $221,235.00.

This event had an 18% DBE goal.  The recommended proposer submitted DBE participation at the prime level in the amount of 100%.
