| Description Recommend approval to procure two heavy equipment vehicles for the Dean Forest Landfill from Yancey Bros Caterpillar in the amount of $1,566,517. Yancey Brothers is the authorized distributor of Caterpillar, Inc. in the state of Georgia. The Sanitation Department will use the vehicles to replace an existing landfill compactor and bulldozer that have exceeded their life span and have become unreliable and inefficient to operate. This purchase will be made using the Sourcewell Cooperative. The contract was competitively bid by Sourcewell and awarded to Caterpillar, Inc. for its distributors. The contract expires on May 13, 2023. The City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance Section 2-4152 authorizes the use of cooperative purchasing agreements. | |
