| Description This is for Contract Modification No. 1 for the purchase of dump trucks with Wade Ford, Inc. in the amount of $27,030. The three (3) dump trucks will be a fleet addition for the Sanitation Department to support the newly created Sanitation Litter Crews. The litter crews will assist with meeting the growing service demands associated with emptying litter, recycling baskets, removing loose litter from blocks, and maintaining a clean appearance for the City of Savannah. The original state contract quote was based on 2022-year model vehicles. However, Ford manufacturing Plant cut off the 2022 model year ordering bank. Wade Ford, Inc. (Ford state contract holder) resubmitted our order for the dump trucks as the 2023-year model vehicles. Council originally approved this contract on December 23, 2021, in the amount of $303,390. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $330,420. | |
