Cirque Entertainment, LLC d/b/a Cirque Italia (Licensee) has requested a Short-Term License to use approximately 8 acres of the 66.5 acre City-owned site at 4801 Meding Street (former Fairgrounds) for a 9-day period from June 25, 2018 through July 3, 2018. The Licensee seeks to conduct a big-tent show named “Paranormal Cirque” and describes it as a fusion between circus, theatre, and cabaret.

The licensee will pay to the City a fee of $8,000.00, plus utilities, security, and will indemnify the City against any claims or losses  for damages to persons or property during use of the site. The licensee will provide the City with insurance in accordance with requirements specified by the Risk Management Department. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the premises, and operations are required to cease no later than 11:00pm each night. The request has been reviewed by various City departments, and the follow guidance has been provided:

-Traffic Engineering requestes the Licensee follow a pre-determined traffic and parking plan, which will be provided by the licensee in advance of the event.

-Savannah Police Department requests Licensee use off-duty police officers for traffic control.
