Recommend approval of Contract Amendment No. 2 for Georgetown Sewer Improvements with EMC Engineering Services, Inc. in the amount of $6,500.

The original contract was for the engineering design and construction overview of the Georgetown Sewer Improvements project.  This amendment is needed to change the design of the additional force main, yard piping at the sanitary Lift Station No. 193 site.  These changes will allow the lift station to pump to Lift Station No. 126, which pumps to the City of Savannah’s Georgetown Water Reclamation Facility.  Additionally, these piping changes will allow the lift station to receive influent flows from other lift stations for pumping to Georgetown Water Reclamation facility via Lift Station No. 126.

This contract was originally approved buy Council on June 21, 2018 in the amount of $201,099.50.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $255,474.50.
