Description

Recommend approval to award an annual contract for polymer from Polydyne in the estimated amount of $80,250.  The polymer will be used by the President Street Plant for the sludge dewatering process.  This process takes a liquid and using the polymer to produce a solid which is easier to handle, dewater, and dispose of in a landfill.  The chemical properties of a polymer must be able to withstand the shearing forces associated with the dewatering process.

This project was not identified as an SBE project because the requirement of three certified SBEs could not be met at the time this bid was released.

The contract term shall be from June 20, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
