Title
21. Motion to Authorize the City Manager to Execute an Annual Contract for Painting Materials to Contractor's Depot in the Estimated Amount of $42,230.34 (Event No. 7025)
Strategic Priority
Neighborhood Revitalization
Description

Recommend approval to award an annual contract for painting materials for the summer rehab program to Contractor’s Depot in the estimated amount of $42,230.34.  Contractors and volunteer organizations will utilize the painting materials on homes owned by low-income, mainly elderly, Savannah homeowners as part of the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department’s Summer Home Repair Program.  The department matches volunteer organizations with homes needing repair.   The volunteer organizations provide the labor, while the City provides the supplies and coordination.  Using this partnership, the City leverages significant private investment to improve nearly 100 homes each year, improving living conditions for the City’s most vulnerable citizens.

This project was not identified as an SBE project because the requirement of three certified SBEs could not be met at the time this bid was released.

The contract term shall be from June 20, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
