Chatham County is in the process of resurfacing Grove Point Road, which runs mostly through Unincorporated Chatham County, but a portion of which runs through the City of Savannah, in Aldermanic District 6. The City of Savannah desires the City's portion of Grove Point Road be resurfaced as part of this project. 

An Intergovernmental Agreement between the City and Chatham County is necessary, whereby the City agrees to pay the County $236,156.53 for the resurfacing of the City's portion of Grove Point Road. This agreement is mutually beneficial to both the City and County.
