Recommend approval to procure diffusers from Blue Phoenix Environmental, LLC in the amount of $40,896.00. The diffusers will be used by the Water Reclamation Department to replace 16,000 existing diffusers that have exceeded their useful lives.

These membranes are used to transfer air to the biological mass in the aeration basins for treatment of wastewater.  While Blue Phoenix Environmental, LLC submitted a bid of $45,440.00, it also offered a 10% discount if payment is made within 15 days of receipt of the invoice. The Water Reclamation Department has determined that this timeframe is feasible and would like to take advantage of this prompt payment discount.
