Recommend approval to award a construction contract for the Colonial Drive Drainage improvement project to E&D Contracting Services, Inc. in the amount of $359,854.00.

The Stormwater Department is implementing Phases I and II of the Colonial Drive improvements, located within the Magnolia Park neighborhood in Aldermanic District 3. Phase I includes the replacement of existing culvert under Colonial Drive with a new reinforced concrete box culvert. Phase II improvements include extending the new box culvert, which is approximately 200 linear feet west of the Colonial Drive crossing, replacing the existing open ditch with a new reinforced concrete box culvert. The contract includes both Phase I and II improvements.  

This project is utilizing SPLOST VI, District 3 funds. 

The project included an overall DBE goal of 18%. The recommended bidder submitted participation in the amount of 25% that will be self-performed by E&D Contracting, Services, Inc.
