CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING

FAIRGROUNDS PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT PRESENTATIONS

JULY 15, 2021 – 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

The special called meeting of the City Council was held at 2:04 p.m. via Zoom communication, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Fairgrounds Property Development Concept Presentations

Mayor Johnson gave the overall purpose and format for conducting the meeting.

The following vendors made presentations:

 

  1. The Savannah Bridge Development Team. (PRESENTED by Benjamin Polote, Sr., Benjamin Polote, Jr., Jessie Wiles and David Murphy. Also on-screen were Charles H. Johnson IV, Mike Garcia and Mary Fellows.)
  1. Knott Development Team. (PRESENTED by Frank Knott, Denise Grabowski and H. Lamar Willis)
  1. P3 Joint Venture Group. (PRESENTED by J. Craig Gordon, Robert Gould, Meredith Stone, Patrick Shay, Nancy Dozier, Katie Porco, Bill Gross, Reverend Thurmond N. Tillman, and Steven Nielsen. Also on-screen were Mac Sims, Kirk Johnson and Joyce Fownes.)

Mayor Johnson asked Councilmembers to send any additional questions for the proposers to Joe Shearouse by Friday, July 16 at 2 p.m. Responses to the questions will be due by Monday, July 19 at 5 p.m.

Mayor Johnson adjourned the work session at 4:03 p.m.  (No action was taken.)
