| Description This is for the approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for overhead door maintenance and repair with Action Overhead Door (183 Commercial Court, Rincon, GA)(D) in the amount of $35,000. The Savannah Fire Department currently has 15 stations with 57 overhead/bay doors. Most of the fire stations are over ten years old with original overhead doors, which have not been replaced. Due to their age, there have been frequent operating issues, and parts have become more costly and difficult to find. To keep providing prompt emergency services to the citizens and visitors of Savannah, it is necessary to ensure overhead/bay doors operate properly. Hence, Savannah Fire requests an additional $35,000 in funding for the remainder of FY 2022. | |
