January 28, 2020 – 5:00 p.m.

The Special Called Meeting of the City Council was held at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of City Hall.

The Special Called Meeting of City Council was held at 5:02 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall. Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order. Alderman Leggett offered the Invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited in unison.

Mayor Johnson asked for the record to reflect that several of the Aldermen/Alderwomen are out of town, in between Georgia Municipal Association Meetings and Savannah Day Activities in Atlanta.

Special Meeting Agenda Items

1. Approval of Class E (Beer and Wine)(By the Package) Convenience Store Alcohol License to Emanuel B. Gray for Emanuel's Food Mart at 5411 White Bluff Road (Aldermanic District 5)

Mayor Johnson opened the alcohol license hearings for Items #1 through #9.

There were no speakers.

Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Shabazz moved to close the hearings for Items #1 through 9, Alderwoman Lanier seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Per City Attorney Lovett's instructions, City Manager Monahan amended Item #9, to Class J.

Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Shabazz moved to approve Items #1 through #9 as amended, Alderman Palumbo seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

2. Approval of Class C (Liquor, Beer and Wine)(By the Drink) Alcohol License with Sunday Sales to Lillian Loretz for Odyssey 2.0 Restaurant and Lounge at 65 West Fairmont Avenue (Aldermanic District 5)

Mayor Johnson opened the alcohol license hearings for Items #1 through #9.

Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Shabazz moved to close the hearings for Items #1 through 9, Alderwoman Lanier seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Per City Attorney Lovett's instructions, City Manager Monahan amended Item #9, to Class J.

Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Shabazz moved to approve Items #1 through #9 as amended, Alderman Palumbo seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

3. Approval of Class C (Beer and Wine)(By the Drink) Alcohol License to Scott Moore for Maple Street Biscuit at 220 West Broughton Street (Aldermanic District 2)

Mayor Johnson opened the alcohol license hearings for Items #1 through #9.

4. Approval of Class D (Liquor, Beer and Wine) (By the Package) Alcohol License to Dhaval Patel for Broughton Market #3 at 326 West Bay Street (Aldermanic District 2)
