Recommend approval to procure 117 Ford Police Utility Interceptors from Wade Ford, Inc. in the amount of $3,282,084.00. These vehicles will replace 35 marked police patrol vehicles and will add 82 marked police patrol vehicles to the City’s fleet.

Council approved the original purchase of 55 marked police patrol vehicles on July 6, 2017 in the amount of $ 1,542,860.00, which included pricing for options that included hands-free communication, blind spot monitoring, reverse sensing, and remappable switches on the steering wheel. The original specifications allowed the City to procure additional Ford Police Interceptors through January 31, 2018, if the City so desired. The recommended vendor has agreed to hold the original unit pricing of $28,052.00 per vehicle, which includes pricing for the options stated above.
