Recommend approval to award an annual contract for auctioning services to Liberty Auction Company.  This is a revenue-generating contract.  These services will be used to auction property seized by Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department and, upon demerger, the Savannah Police Department, that has been authorized for sale by order of the Superior Court of Chatham County.

The City will receive 65% of the total auction sales. Such items that may be auctioned include, but are not limited to, tires, bicycles, jewelry, lawn care equipment, air conditioners, and all other tangible personal property subject to disposal pursuant to Georgia law. Historical usage of these auction services has grossed an income of approximately $5,000.00 annually.

The contract term will be from January 18, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
