Neighborhood Revitalization
Description

Recommend approval of a resolution to accept a $30,000 donation from Memorial Health University Medical Center for deposit into the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF) that supports workforce and affordable housing initiatives for modest wage Memorial Health employees becoming first time Savannah homeowners. These crucial investments provide tangible results for both Memorial Health and the City of Savannah.

Over the last four years, Memorial Health has invested a total of $120,000 into the SAHF. This public/private partnership serves as an exemplary model for other Savannah area employers. None of the investments made into the SAHF by Memorial Health and other investors are used for administrative costs. The City of Savannah Housing and Neighborhood Services Department and Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (“CHSA”), a non-profit housing corporation, oversee and administer the SAHF.
