Recommend approval to renew an annual contract with a price increase for grounds maintenance at Hutchinson Island medians, ROW (Right of Way), and green spaces to Venson Lawn & Landscape (10 ½ Hampstead Avenue, Savannah, GA)(A-1) for up to $29,620. 

The contract is necessary to maintain the turfgrass and shrubbery on various City medians, rights of ways, and greenspaces on Hutchinson Island. The City’s Greenscapes Parks Maintenance Division will be the primary user of the contract and Venson Lawn & Landscapes has provided these services in the past with success. Without a contract, the City would not be able to maintain the designated rights of way on Hutchinson Island due to the distance traveled and manpower required. The contractor is requesting an increase of $5,660 from the original contract amount of $23,960 due to labor shortages and an increase in fuel prices.
 

This contract was originally awarded on September 1, 2020, for up to $23,960 This is the first renewal of four annual renewal options.
