Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for utility rings and covers with Ferguson Underground Waterworks in the amount of $112,321.28. The rings and covers will be used by Water Resources Department as replacements when facilities have been damaged or have met the end of their useful lives. Rings and covers keep sewer collection systems free of extraneous inflow and infiltration by preventing rainwater from entering the system to reduce overflows and the amount of waste water pumped to the water reclamation facilities. The rings and covers are maintained in inventory at the Central Warehouse.

This contract was originally approved by Council on February 4, 2016. This is the second of three available renewal options. The contract term will be from February 14, 2018 through February 13, 2019.
