Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for network maintenance and purchases with Layer 3 Communications in the amount of $485,476.47. This contract is used by the Department of Information Technology for hardware and software maintenance for designated equipment from Juniper, Aruba, and Palo Alto Networks. This contract provides integral to the operations of the Data Center and at all network locations, as well as indoor wireless capabilities at designated City facilities. The contract also includes equipment procurement and implementation services for 2018 projects. Pricing is based on projected needs for the upcoming year.

This contract was originally approved by Council on February 18, 2016. This is the second of three renewal options available. The contract term will be from February 16, 2018 through February 15, 2019.
