The Savannah Airport Commission recommends approval of the construction of the “Lifecycle Escalator Replacement” in the amount of $1,700,000 with KONE, Inc. This project was budgeted for 2019 in the amount of $1,700,000 and bid in the 2Q but not awarded as the sole bid was over budget by a significant amount of money. The project has been budgeted for 2020 in the amount of $2,200,000 and was rebid in the 4Q of 2019 and received an acceptable bid. The Lifecycle Escalator Replacement project will replace all four (4) escalators in the terminal lobby. The current escalators have met exceeded their useful life and are experiencing frequent failures. This is a Capital Improvement Project and is AIP / PFC eligible. The following bid was received:
