The City of Savannah received a de-annexation petition from Norfolk Southern Railway for approximately 6.75 acres located on Dean Forest Road near Bob Harmon Road. This request dovetails with an intergovernmental agreement between the City of Savannah and Garden City dated October 22, 2020. Under this agreement, Savannah has agreed to de-annex the property based on Garden City's desire to annex the property. Garden City has agreed to provide services, facilities and equipment necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the businesses and property to be de-annexed.
