Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for painting services at 5515 Abercorn Street with E & D Coatings, Inc.  in the amount of $2,050.

Real Estate Services originally used these services to perform minor renovations to the facility located at 5515 Abercorn Street to prepare it to be back-filled with staff exiting the City-leased facility located at 1375 Chatham Parkway (the Savannah Morning News Building). Real Estate Services is performing minor renovations to rectify deferred maintenance, including replacement of ceiling tiles, light bulbs, interior paint, and carpeting. In addition, Real Estate Services will strip and re-wax the vinyl flooring and procure new cubicles and other minor furnishings. All work must be completed quickly as staff will be relocating to the facility before the end of this year.
 

This modification will cover services that were not included in the initial contract and will provide the removal and disposal of the cove base, additional drywall repairs, and the painting of two additional rooms located at the 5515 Abercorn building.

This contract was originally approved by Council on October 14, 2021 in the amount of $37,800. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $39,850.
