Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 4 for City Wide HVAC Maintenance with Edge Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (D) in the amount of $117,000.

This contract is used by the Facilities Maintenance and Operations Divisiond to maintain HVAC systems, such as chillers, ice machines, and commercial refrigerators. Edge Air Conditioning and Refrigeration has specialized equipment that is needed to perform the required work. This contract is also used for larger replacements that City staff cannot handle. City staff perform preventative maintenance on approximately 1,000 HVAC units and minor repairs and replacements on City-owned HVAC units. This modification is needed to allow for the continued replacement, repair, and maintainenance of HVAC equipment City-Wide.

This contract was originally approved by Council on July 20, 2017 in the amount of $83,400. Contract Modification No.1 was approved by Council November 20, 2018 in the amount of $211,400. Contract Modification No. 2 was approved by Council on August 13, 2020 in the amount of $100,000. Contract Modification No. 3 was approved by Council on May 24, 2021 in the amount of $140,000.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $651,800.
