A Resolution to adopt the 100% Savannah Clean Energy Plan per the unanimously approved 100% Clean Energy Resolution passed on March 26, 2020.

The Resolution committed the City to achieving the following goals:

• 100% renewable electricity community-wide by 2035
• 100% renewable energy for all energy needs by 2050

It also emphasized the importance of using this community-wide energy transition to redress historic inequities and create opportunities for frontline, fence-line, and low-income communities.  

This Clean Energy Plan consists of 45 high-level strategies that fall into five key categories:

• Energy Efficiency
• Renewable Energy
• Transportation & Mobility
• Community & Economic Development
• Education and Engagement

These strategies were developed through a robust stakeholder process that included four community-based working groups, a Council-appointed advisory group, and targeted outreach to different constituencies across the City.
