27. Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Contracts with Homeless Service Agencies to Respond to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19). $1,454,103 will be allocated to six agencies to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on homeless individuals and families.

Description

Recommend approval of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute contracts with homeless service agencies for the provision of services which prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). The City of Savannah received a supplemental allocation of Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG-CV) funds as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES). These special ESG-CV funds can be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19 among homeless individuals and families who are receiving assistance; and to support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.  Funding recommendations totaling $1,454,103 are as follows:
