Recommend approval to procure interview room camera system from Axon Enterprise, Inc. (17800 N 85th St. Scottsdale, Arizona) in the amount of $243,840 over a five-year period at a cost of $48,768 per year.

This agreement approves the replacement of the recording equipment in all nine (9) interview rooms with a system that is compatible with the department’s body-worn cameras. The new system includes a number of benefits, including the systems' easy activation and includes safeguards to ensure a recording occurs whenever the room is in use. Interview recordings are uploaded into the same digital evidence repository as the department’s body-worn camera video increasing efficiency.

This procurement will be made using a cooperative purchasing agreement, Sourcewell contract No.010720-AXN. Cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method in Division 10 Section 4-4152 of the City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance.
