Strategic Priority
Neighborhood Revitalization
Description

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health Systems’ (SJCHS) President and CEO, Paul P. Hinchey, along with fellow St. Joseph's/Candler executives, are presenting a check for $15,000 to the Mayor and Aldermen. This marks the eighth consecutive year that St. Joseph's/Candler has supported the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund, investing a total of $120,000. These contributions have provided the down payment necessary for 25 modest-wage hospital employees to purchase their first home in the City of Savannah. These crucial investments provide tangible results for both St. Joseph’s/Candler and the City of Savannah. Officials from the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund Advisory Committee and the Community Housing Services Agency will also be participating in the presentation. This public/private partnership serves as an exemplary model for other Savannah area employers. A motion to formally accept this donation appears in the resolution section of the agenda.
