Consistent with powers afforded the City under the state’s current nuisance abatement law, proposed Article C is designed to facilitate identification of nuisance properties, establish procedures -- consistent with due process considerations -- to abate nuisances, and provide a mechanism for the City to recover costs associated with nuisance abatement by way of liens and enforcement procedures.
